Neil Youngwith Crazy Horse have completed a brand new studio album titledCOLORADOwhich is set for release on October 25 via Reprise Records. This is the first new music since 2012’s critically acclaimed PSYCHEDELIC PILL.
COLORADO was recorded mostly live in the studio in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and produced by Young and John Hanlon with additional mixing at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu. Mastering by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering, Hollywood. As with every Young release, the resultant audio fidelity is nothing short of astonishing and sounds as if one is present on the studio floor with the band during the recording.
COLORADO will be available on high resolution digital audio through NYA, and on a three-sided, double vinyl album set with a bonus 7” vinyl single as well as CD and digitally at all streaming and digital outlets. The bonus single contains two non-album tracks, “Rainbow Of Colors,” (live) recorded live by Neil Young solo and was the first-ever public performance of this powerful new fan favorite, and “Truth Kills,” a studio track by Young with Crazy Horse.

On 29 November 2019, Pink Floyd Records will release ‘Pink Floyd The Later Years’, a 16-disc set (5xCDs, 6xBlu-Rays, 5xDVDs) covering the material created by David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright from 1987 onwards. The period generated record sales of over 40 million worldwide and included three studio albums: ‘A Momentary Lapse of Reason’, ‘The Division Bell’ and ‘The Endless River’ as well as two live albums: ‘Delicate Sound of Thunder’ and ‘Pulse’. With additional production from David Gilmour and Andy Jackson, over 13 hours of unreleased audio and audiovisual material, including the sought-after 1989 Venice and 1990 Knebworth concerts, ‘Pink Floyd The Later Years’ is a must for all fans.
A multi-media, deluxe box set, ‘Pink Floyd The Later Years’ presents an expanded view of the Pink Floyd story from 1987 to the present and kicks off with ‘A Momentary Lapse of Reason’, the album that confirmed Pink Floyd as one of the world’s biggest artists.
The album, presented for the first time in 5.1, has been remixed and updated by David Gilmour and Andy Jackson. The release of The Later Years project gives an opportunity for a fresh overview of the ‘A Momentary Lapse of Reason’ album. By returning to some of Richard Wright’s keyboard parts and recording new drum tracks with Nick Mason, producers David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin have restored the creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members.
Throughout 1987 and 1988 the band’s live shows became the largest-grossing concert tour ever to that date and produced the critically acclaimed, Grammy Award nominated,‘Delicate Sound of Thunder’. Filmed at the Nassau Coliseum in New York State, the concert shows the band on the top of their form. The concert has been fully re-edited and upgraded from the original 35mm film negatives by Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell and Benny Trickett and the sound remixed to 5.1. It also includes Terminal Frost and Welcome To The Machine, two tracks that were not included on the original concert film release. For the first time the concert is available in 5.1 on Blu-ray and DVD.
Two of the most sought-after additions to ‘Pink Floyd The Later Years’ are the 1989 Venice Concert, performed on a floating stage in front of St Mark’s Square, and the 1990 Silver Clef Winners performance at Knebworth. Both concerts, previously unreleased, are now available on both DVD and Blu-ray (145mins). The momentous Knebworth concert saw Pink Floyd topping the all-star bill (that included Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, Genesis, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton and Tears For Fears), in aid of the Nordoff Robbins charity, profits from which went towards setting up the BRIT School. David Gilmour and Andy Jackson have remixed the audio from this iconic concert and all 7 tracks performed on the day (with guest musicians including sax player Candy Dulfer, the original TheGreat Gig In The Sky vocalist Clare Torry, keyboard player Michael Kamen and Sam Brown with her mother, Vicki, on vocals), are released here as well as for the first time ever on CD.
1994’s album ‘The Division Bell’ sold over 12 million copies, having debuted at No 1 in the UK, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. It stayed at the top of the US charts for 4 weeks, and also went to No 1 in six other countries. The resulting tour was captured and recorded for the concert release ‘Pulse’. This release contains the entire ‘Pulse’ live concert film, re-edited and upgraded from the original masters, from the groundbreaking Earl’s Court gigs, and available for the first time on Blu-ray. Also uncovered for the first time is footage of the band in rehearsals on 20 October 1994 performing A Great Day For Freedom and Lost For Words.
In 2014, Pink Floyd released ‘The Endless River’, comprising mostly instrumental and ambient music based on material recorded during ‘The Division Bell’ sessions. Featuring David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, additional material was recorded in 2013 and 2014, with one song, Louder than Words, with lyrics by author & novelist Polly Samson (the primary lyricist for ‘The Division Bell’ album). ‘The Endless River’ became the most pre-ordered album of all time on Amazon UK and debuted at number one in several countries. The vinyl edition was the fastest-selling UK vinyl release since 1997. Included here for the first time is the never previously seen specially commissioned full 52-minute ‘The Endless River’ film by Ian Emes, famed for his work with Pink Floyd, including his animations for One of These Days, Speak To Me, Time and On the Run.
Rounding off the package are hours of unreleased bonus materials including music videos, documentary footage, bonus live tracks, upgraded tour screen films and documentaries. It includes the first ever release, on Blu-ray, DVD and 7” vinyl, of the last live performance of Pink Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright together in 2007. This special performance of Arnold Layne took place at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert at The Barbican on 10 May 2007. The full set boasts previously unreleased or remixed audio, plus restored, remastered and re-edited audio-visuals including unreleased concert footage and promo clips.
With the help of Nick Mason and the Pink Floyd archive, the box set comes with reproductions of tour artwork, posters, programmes, tour laminates, lyric book and much more including two 7” vinyl singles, (the live version of Arnold Layne performed at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert in 2007 and Lost For Words from the ‘Pulse’ tour rehearsals at Earl’s Court), in new picture sleeves and etched image B-sides. Also included is a brand new 60-page hardback book of photos, designed by Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis and Peter Curzon of StormStudios, including many previously unseen images.
The 5 CDs are encased in their own 40-page hardback book with an extensive guide to all content, tracklists and credits.

About Pixies
While Pixies have been
acclaimed as the most influential, pioneering band of the late 80s alt/rock
movement, having blazed the trail for artists from Nirvana to Radiohead to
Pearl Jam, today, a whole new generation of music fans is discovering the
band’s iconic “loudquietloud” signature sound. After five
genre-defining studio albums — including the now-Platinum-certified Doolittle–
Pixies disbanded in 1993, and then launched their reunion tour in April 2004,
playing to sell-out crowds across the globe for 15 years, a far longer period
of time than they were a band originally. But writing, recording and releasing
new music was something that the band had been wanting to do for a long time,
so they secretly booked studio time in Wales for the fall of 2012. Six days
into the recording, founding bassist Kim Deal decided to leave the band; Black
Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering made the decision to carry on,
finishing and releasing the band’s first studio album in more than two decades,
2014’s Indie Cindy. Also wanting to play live, the three began working with a number
of touring bassists, including former A Perfect Circle bassist, Paz Lenchantin
who came out on the road with the band in 2014. The band welcomed her as
Pixies’ permanent bassist in 2016.
Also, in 2016, Pixies released
its second post-reunion studio album, Head Carrier which was also
Lenchantin’s recording debut with the band. As the UK’s DIY put it,
“They’re back. They’re still brilliant. God save the Pixies.”
December 2018 saw the band holed up at
Dreamland Studios near Woodstock, NY with producer Tom Dalgety where they
recorded their second album as a unit, “Beneath the Eyrie” out on
September 13, 2019.

Warner Music Ireland and Rascals Beer team up with ‘let’s rock’ IPA!
Let’s Rock! No, really, Let’s Rock. It’s the title of the new album from Ohio scuzzy bluesy guitar ledgebags The Black Keys, one of the best rock bands of the past twenty years. Their 2011 album El Camino was a global hit, not least because of the insanely successful and still brilliant Lonely Boy, but The Black Keys earned their stripes a long time ago with albums such as Brothers from 2010 and Rubber Factory released back in 2004.
They’ve returned with a new album that veers back towards the path to rock righteousness after a brief detour with the slightly more introspective 2014 album Turn Blue. And guess what? We got together with Warner Music and The Black Keys to bring out a special limited can to celebrate the new album! Damn right we did. Let’s Rock is the new album and it’s out now.
We made a fresh batch of Happy Days pale ale and canned up an extremely limited edition run. There’s even a QR code to scan which allows you to listen to the album. It’s a rock and roll beer for a rock and roll album.
You won’t be able to buy these cans in the shops, but we are going to give them away on our social channels, PLUS! We’ll give some away as prizes at this Sunday’s Quizzy Rascals table quiz here in Inchicore (30 June) Get your tickets for Quizzy Rascals here. If you love craft beer and pizza, as well as great tunes, then you need to spend a lot more time here at Rascals HQ taproom and pizza restaurant, Inchicore.
His debut solo single ‘Wall of Glass’ put him back where he belongs, but Liam Gallagher’s ‘Shockwave’ is already powering towards a much bigger launch. Competing for a Top 20 position on the Official Singles Chart, ‘Shockwave’ is performing stronger across both downloads and streaming and will comfortably top the Official Vinyl Singles Chart.
Now Liam builds on that flying start by sharing the track’s official video. Directed by the award-winning François Rousselet, the video sets Liam’s swaggering charisma to some striking, cinematic-scale photography. It takes him on a voyage through America’s Deep South, from desolate wastelands to train tracks and large-scale protests.
The video comes as Liam confirms that his eagerly anticipated second album ‘Why Me? Why Not’ will be released on September 20th on WarnerRecords. The album is now available to pre-order from and will be available on a variety of CD, vinyl, download and streaming formats. There will also be a special D2C package which compiles a deluxe CD, a sun yellow vinyl album and a one-sided etched 12” which features three deluxe bonus tracks along with a demo recording that’s exclusive to this format – all packaged in a hardcover book.
Fans who pre-order the album from https://wbr.ec/liam-store will receive priority access to future live dates.
‘Why Me? Why Not.’ was written by Liam with producers AndrewWyatt and GregKurstin and recorded in LosAngeles and at RAKStudios in London. Wyatt and Kurstin previously contributed writing and production to Liam’s all-conquering debut solo album ‘As You Were’, and Liam was keen to get even deeper with them this time. As a result, ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ is a clear upgrade on ‘As You Were’ but not a radical departure.
Liam explains:
“I wrote some songs on my own for the last album, but this time it’s all co-writes. Reason being is I want it to be even better than ‘As You Were’. I know my strengths and I know my limitations. I’m an ok songwriter, but I’m a great singer and frontman. I want the second album to be a step-up because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better. So that’s what we’ve done.”
‘Shockwave’ has seen Liam Gallagher make a typically full-throttle return. Super intimate sold-out show at Hackney Round Chapel? Biblical. Premiere and release of the long-awaited ‘As It Was’ documentary? Completed. Featured on the cover of Q, who described him as “rock’s finest frontman”? Naturally.
Liam Gallagher’s debut solo album ‘As You Were’ was a critical and commercial smash. It debuted at #1 in IRELAND and in the UK, out-selling the rest of the Top 10 in the process and was soon certified Platinum. Liam was back where he belonged, selling out huge outdoor shows and earning major awards from Q, NME and GQ.
Liam’s next double-bill of huge UK shows comes at the end of the month. He’ll play a sold-out Eden Sessions show on the 26th before hitting Glastonbury’sPyramidStage on the 29th.
Liam will play Irish Independent Park, Cork on Sunday June 23rd, 2019.
Studio group portrait of Led Zeppelin, London, December 1968. Clockwise from left: John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page.
8th May 2019 – Now in post-production, the as yet untitled Led Zeppelin documentary, directed by Bernard MacMahon, celebrates the world’s best-selling rock band on their fiftieth anniversary. The documentary traces the journeys of the four members through the music scene of the 1960s, their meeting in the summer of 1968 for a rehearsal that will change the future of rock, and culminates in 1970 when their second album knocks The Beatles off the top of the charts and they become the number one band in the world.
With brand new interviews of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones, as well as rare archival interviews with the late John Bonham, this documentary will be the first of its kind; the Led Zeppelin story told through the words of the men that lived it, with no outside voices or conjecture. Featuring never before seen archive film and photographs, state of the art audio transfers of the band’s music, as well as the music that shaped their sound, this documentary will be the definitive telling of the birth of the world’s biggest selling rock band. It is the first and only time the band have participated in a documentary in fifty years.
Jimmy Page: “When I saw everything Bernard had done both visually and sonically on the remarkable achievement that is American Epic, I knew he would be qualified to tell our story.”
Robert Plant: “Seeing Will Shade, and so many other important early American musicians, brought to life on the big screen in American Epic inspired me to contribute to a very interesting and exciting story.”
John Paul Jones: “The time was right for us to tell our own story for the first time in our own words, and I think that this film will really bring that story to life.”

This morning, Las Vegas native and Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie earned the esteemed honour of receiving the Key to the City of his hometown in recognition of his outstanding achievements in music. Presented to him by Las Vegas Commissioner Jim Gibson on the eve of two highly-anticipated performances at the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday, May 1 at 8pm ET/PT on NBC, Urie joins the likes of renowned artists like Elvis Presley, Madonna, and Britney Spears who received the honour before him.
Urie has always celebrated his Vegas roots throughout his career, from recording the Grammy nominated band’s platinum-selling second album, Pretty.Odd., at the studio at The Palms to shooting countless videos and photo shoots in his home town including the cover art for the band’s platinum-certified fourth album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare To Die. Last year, Urie performed a sold out show at the city’s T-Mobile Arena as part of his critically acclaimed Pray For The Wicked Tour as well as a show-stopping set inside the middle of Vegas’s iconic Bellagio Fountain ahead of Game 5 of the 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Finals. Likewise, the Las Vegas Golden Knights currently use Panic!’s “Vegas Lights” as their goal song.
Continuing his dedication to Vegas – Urie, via his Highest Hopes Foundation, is partnering with State Farm and the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada to break ground on a Youth Notes For Notes® recording studio for local children which will open later this year. Urie hopes to help create an environment as supportive as the one he had at Palo Verde High School under the instruction of his music teacher, Mr. Richard Matta. He’s carried the unparalleled spirit of Vegas showmanship with him and this honour culminates with a high profile appearance at this year’s Billboard Music Awards, where the four time nominee will join Taylor Swift on a show-opening performance of her recently unveiled single “ME!” and perform Panic! at the Disco’s latest hit “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.”
BBMA executive producers Mark Bracco and Robert Deaton also received a proclamation, recognizing 20 consecutive years of the show broadcasting from the city of lights with the city declaring Wednesday, May 1, 2019 as “Billboard Music Awards Day” and honouring the show with a “Billboard Music Awards Blvd.” street sign.
The “2019 Billboard Music Awards” are set to air on NBC for the second year in a row and will broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The three-hour telecast will showcase this year’s hottest musical acts, unexpected collaborations and buzzworthy moments. “Billboard Music Awards” nominees and winners are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The awards are based on the chart period of March 23, 2018 through March 7, 2019. The “2019 Billboard Music Awards” is produced by dick clark productions. Mark Bracco, Barry Adelman, Kelly Clarkson and Robert Deaton are executive producers.

Pray For The Wicked is highlighted by the 2x-platinum certified hit “High Hopes,” which not only claimed the top spot across six different Billboard charts, but also simultaneously hit #1 across three different radio formats, including Pop, Alternative, and Hot AC, where it broke the record by topping the chart for 14 weeks, the longest run in 15 years. Outside of music, Urie has founded the Highest Hopes Foundation – an umbrella fund which supports the efforts of non-profit organizations that lead, develop, and advocate support for human rights for all people and communities subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity. In June 2018, Urie named GLSEN the foundation’s first beneficiary and pledged $1 million donation to the LGBTQ non-profit.
On what would have been David Bowie’s 72nd birthday and with 2019 marking 50 years since David Bowie’s first hit, Space Oddity, we are excited to announce that Parlophone is set to release a 7″ vinyl singles box set of nine previously unreleased recordings* from the era during which Space Oddity was first conceived.
Keep reading for the full details.

DAVID BOWIE – SPYING THROUGH A KEYHOLE (DEMOS AND UNRELEASED SONGS)
PARLOPHONE SET TO RELEASE 7″ VINYL SINGLES BOX SET OF PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED* DAVID BOWIE RECORDINGS, INCLUDING EARLIEST KNOWN VERSIONS OF SPACE ODDITY.
With 2019 marking 50 years since David Bowie’s first hit, Space Oddity, we are excited to announce that Parlophone is set to release a 7″ vinyl singles box set of nine previously unreleased recordings* from the era during which Space Oddity was first conceived.
The title: Spying Through A Keyhole, is a lyric taken from the previously unknown song: Love All Around, and though most of the other titles are known, these versions have never been officially released until late last year (see footnote). Most of the recordings are solo vocal and acoustic home demo performances, unless otherwise stated.
This mid-tempo tale of a fledgling son fleeing the nest features multi-tracked vocals, guitars and harmonica from David.
In The Heat Of The Morning (demo)
A well-known early Bowie song but presented here in demo form with final lyrics.
Goodbye 3d (Threepenny) Joe (demo)
A charming demo from 1968.
Love All Around (demo)
A delightful love song from whence the title of this collection came: “I see a pop tune spying through a keyhole from the other room”.
London Bye, Ta-Ta (demo)
An early demo version of the song with completely different lyrics in a couple of the verses compared to those of the later full band versions.
Angel, Angel, Grubby Face (demo version 1)
The first and only previously known demo of this song.
Angel, Angel, Grubby Face (demo version 2)
A later version of the same song with alternative lyrics.
Space Oddity (demo excerpt)
The lyric and arrangement variations lend weight to the theory that this is possibly the first ever recorded demo of one of Bowie’s most famous songs.
Space Oddity (demo – alternative lyrics) (with Hutch)
Originally conceived as a song for a duo to perform, this is the first known version to feature John ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson again with lyric and arrangement variations.
Due to the nature of some of the solo home demos where Bowie accompanied himself on acoustic guitar, the recording quality isn’t always of a usual studio fidelity. This is partly due to David’s enthusiastic strumming hitting the red on a couple of the tracks, along with the limitations of the original recording equipment and tape degradation. However, the historical importance of these songs and the fact that the selections are from an archive of tracks cleared for release by Bowie, overrides this shortcoming.
Spying Through A Keyhole will be limited to a vinyl only release in the spring. However, the recordings may appear in the future on other formats. More details and actual release date to follow from Parlophone.
*FOOTNOTE: Although this will be the first physical release of these tracks, Parlophone did make them available on streaming services for a limited period only in December.
