PARAMORE RELEASE NEW TRACK “C’EST COMME ÇA”

The Third Track Taken From Their Highly Anticipated Sixth Studio Album THIS IS WHY
Out February 10th On Atlantic Records

I know that regression is rarely rewarded / I still need a certain degree of disorder/ I hate to admit getting better is boring/ But the high cost of chaos?/ Who can afford it?

Today, Paramore’s electrifying return continues with the release of new song “C’est Comme Ça.” This is the third track to be released from their eagerly anticipated new album This is Why – out February 10th via Atlantic Records.

Of the song – whose title translates literally from French as “it’s like that” but is more akin to the English-language expression “that’s just how it is” – singer Hayley Williams says, “I’m trying to get un-addicted to a survival narrative. The idea of imminent doom is less catastrophic to me than not knowing anything about the future or my part in it. The guys and I are all in much more stable places in our lives than ever before. And somehow that is harder for me to adjust to.”

The Grammy-winning trio revealed their new album plans in September with the release of the album’s title track. “This Is Why,” currently climbing streaming and alternative radio charts around the globe – now at #2 at Alternative Radio! – and saw the beloved band make their Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon debut in between a run of intimate theater dates and festival headlines.

Excitement for Paramore’s live shows has never fiercer; they were recently announced to headline the kick-off of the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest in Glendale, AZ on Feb 9th and will join Taylor Swift on the opening nights of her Eras Tour there on March 17th and 18th. Prior to their tour kickoff, the band will be doing a special, intimate album release show for fans on February 6 at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Spring 2023 sees Paramore embark on their own global tour in support of This is Why, kicking off in South America in March, followed by a UK / Ireland run in April, and a North American run starting in May. Support comes from Bloc Party, Foals, The Linda Lindas and Genesis Owusu. For the band’s largest headline arena shows in more than a decade they’ll make stops at some of the most iconic venues including two nights at London’s O2 Arena, two nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, Austin’s Moody Center, two nights at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena and more before wrapping up in St. Paul, MN at Xcel Energy Center on August 2nd. The band are donating a portion of their ticket sales to organizations working in areas of essential community support, including Support & Feed and REVERB.

When Paramore revealed they were recording together in January 2022 the response from music fans around the world was immediate and celebratory. In the time since the Grammy-winning, RIAA-certified multi-Platinum band released their last album, After Laughter – and Hayley Williams unveiled two lauded solo albums – Paramore have become more popular than ever. Over the last few years Paramore’s influence and popularity has snowballed, as the age of streaming organically propelled them into a position as one of the world’s biggest, most culturally compelling rock bands. For the band, who formed as teenagers in Tennessee, their 20 year trajectory has seen them grow from youthful outsiders to bone-fide pop culture icons, permeating the musical landscape by inspiring a new generation of musical talent.

Praise for Paramore:

“One of the most influential bands of their generation” – The Guardian

“another bold yet sonically grounded triumph: while the production recalls the art-rock idiosyncrasies of After Laughter, Hayley Williams sneers, spins and strikes with the tenacity of her Riot! Work.” – Billboard

“Williams sings, with biting mock-sweetness, over a backbeat and a hopping bass line. Choppy, clenched guitar chords goad her as she sneers an irritated response to a sourly divided national mood” – New York Times

“…it’s working as a power trio here: a singer, drummer and guitarist barreling ahead at the most thrilling heights of their musicianship” – NPR

“Fan interaction was an integral part of the concert, and perhaps what makes Paramore shows so special — besides Williams’ never-faltering powerhouse vocals and the band’s tight musicality.” – Variety

“With a packed setlist that spanned 20 years of hit-making, the band celebrated everything they’ve achieved – and proved that the best is yet to come.” – Rolling Stone

“one of the most influential alternative rock bands of their generation” – The Face

IGGY POP UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “FRENZY”

Iggy Pop explodes back onto the scene with the aptly titled “Frenzy

LISTEN HERE. The brand new single is out today via the recently announced partnership between Atlantic Records and Gold Tooth Records, the new label founded by GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum “Frenzy“ producer and guitarist, Andrew Watt.

Three solid minutes of unadulterated primal rock fury, “Frenzy” signals a return to the raw powered aggro of earlier Iggy vintages—a sharp 180 degree turn from Iggy’s most recent album, 2019’s Free. Where Free’s somber and contemplative meditations on mortality and the human condition saw a vulnerable Iggy taking a deep look inward, “Frenzy” lashes out with the unmistakable and unequalled intensity that earned Iggy the Godfather of Punk sobriquet—fueled by a band consisting of producer Watt (guitar/background vocals), Duff McKagan (bass) and Chad Smith (drums).

SOLD OUT O2 ACADEMY BRIXTON IN AN HOUR
HEADLINE SHOW ON APRIL 27, 2023

DEBUT ALBUM ‘YOU SIGNED UP FOR THIS’ CERTIFIED BRIT BREAKTHROUGH

Fresh from selling out the O2 Academy Brixton in an hour and landing a BRIT Breakthrough certification for her debut album, ‘You Signed Up For This’, Maisie Peters today releases pop-rock throwback ‘Blonde’, the first of two new track drops. Emotional ballad ‘Good Enough’ will follow on August 19th.

Maisie explains: “‘Blonde’ and’ Good Enough’ are sister songs to me – they represent the two different sides of my artistry and in a way, myself. One couldn’t exist without the other and I like to think at shows people will scream just as loudly to both. I’m a songwriter first and foremost, and writing both these songs were fundamental, changing moments in my own life – it seemed only right they came out in tandem.”

On ‘Blonde’ – which has already racked up over a million views on TikTok over the past few weeks – Maisie shares: “‘Blonde’ is a song about confidence, self-worth and standing behind yourself, and although dying your hair isn’t necessarily the grandest thing anyone has ever done, it represents turning a new leaf in how you see yourself, for the better. Plus, it’s true, blondes do have more fun.”

Currently supporting Ed Sheeran on his + – = ÷ x stadium tour (tickets here), Maisie recently joined a star-studded line-up of guests including Billie Eilish and Sam Smith during the London taping of The Late Late Show with James Corden, delivering an electrifying performance of her viral track, ‘Cate’s Brother’.

With an ever-growing global fanbase, Maisie also recently announced her ‘I’m Telling The Whole Of America Tour 2022’. The five-date run includes The Wiltern in LA and sold-out shows at The Phoenix in Toronto and New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom – her biggest headline audience to date.

FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE: 50 NUMBER ONES
ARRIVING AUGUST 19
PRE-ORDER AVAILABLE NOW

Friday, August 5, 2022 – Today, Madonna has teamed up with rapper Saucy Santana to release “Material Gworrllllllll!” – listen HERE. The track serves as a remix to Saucy’s own viral “Material Girl” song, which was inspired by Madonna’s original hit. The official music video will be released on Monday, August 8.

The song arrives ahead of FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE: 50 NUMBER ONES, Madonna’s 50-track career spanning compilation album, releasing on August 19, 2022. The collection, curated by Madonna, is in celebration of her historic milestone as the first and only recording artist to have 50 #1 hits on any single Billboard chart when she topped the Dance Club Songs chart for the 50th time. Madonna most recently released the 16-track version, FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE, which is available now on streaming.

These new collections mark the first album release to be part of the newly announced partnership between Madonna and Warner Music Group, which will feature an extensive series across her groundbreaking career.

50 NUMBER ONES spans her entire dance club chart reign with dozens of remixes by the world’s top producers. In addition to fan favorites, the collection also includes a selection of rare remix recordings, with more than 20 being officially released for the first time or making their commercial/digital debut. The collection will be available digitally on August 19, along with a 3-CD version. A limited-edition, 6-LP version on red and black vinyl will also be available and has already sold out in pre-orders. The 16-track edition, FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE, will be available in physical format on August 19. Pre-order and Pre-save now.

Expect more surprises to be revealed later this year around the celebration of Madonna’s 40 years in music.

Saucy Santana most recently released his hit single “Booty” via RCA Records, adding to his unstoppable run, gracing the covers of Teen Vogue, PAPER, V Magazine, and XXL as part of their 2022 Freshman Class list. Previously supporting Latto on her nationwide 777 Tour, Santana also premiered the “Material Gworrllllllll!” remix as part of a live performance with Madonna at her Pride event in NYC in addition to a breakout performance at the 2022 BET Awards Pre-Show.

Boasting more than 220 minutes of remixes, FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE: 50 NUMBER ONES flows in mostly chronological order, showcasing the many musical reinventions that made Madonna an international icon, from 1983’s “Holiday” to 2019’s “I Don’t Search I Find,” with remixes by some of the biggest and most influential DJs of all time including Shep Pettibone, William Orbit, Honey Dijon, and Avicii.

On several songs, Madonna is joined by other incredible artists, including Britney Spears (“Me Against The Music”); Justin Timberlake and Timbaland (“4 Minutes”); and Nicki Minaj (“Bitch I’m Madonna.”) Each remix was newly remastered for the collection by Mike Dean, who produced Madonna’s two most-recent studio albums, Rebel Heart (2015) and Madame X (2019).

Both of these new collections also highlight You Can Dance, Madonna’s first-ever remix collection. Celebrating 35 years this year, You Can Dance has sold more than five million copies worldwide and is still the second best-selling remix album of all time. The collection also pays homage to “Everybody,” Madonna’s first single, celebrating its 40th Anniversary on October 6. Madonna redesigned the album’s chronology by picking three edits from You Can Dance, including “Into The Groove”, “Everybody” and “Physical Attraction,” which reflects the underground club vibes that inspired her first recordings as a Sire artist.

Along with those rarities, these albums also introduce versions that are seeing their first-ever official release, including the “Alternate Single Remix” of “Keep It Together,” the “Offer Nissim Promo Mix” of “Living For Love,” and more.

A NEW ERA FOR THE WORLD’S BIGGEST ANIMATED BAND
‘Cracker Island ft. Thundercat

Cracker Island

“…dance-floor-ready banger of a track…the summer anthem of this year.”

“…a sleek and summery jam…invites the listener to simply lock into its blissed-out groove.”
NEW YORK TIMES

“… a groove made all the more golden by virtuoso bassist Thundercat”
THE INDEPENDENT

“…the cartoon poppers are starting a cult in California, this jaunty tune will net some followers.”
THE OBSERVER

“…a bustling blast of dance funk that tempers its slick, bass-heavy groove with plenty of grit and a touch of dark wave energy.”
ROLLING STONE

In a delirium of police lights and hallucinations, the BRIT and Grammy-winning virtual band Gorillaz ring in a new dawn, teaming up with Nexus Studios to create the epic psychedelic video for their summer banger ‘Cracker Island ft. Thundercat’. Directed by artist and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett and the Emmy nominated Nexus Studios director, Fx Goby, Cracker Island takes viewers on a late night journey into the City of Angels. Watch HERE.
Murdoc said – “Think of it as the final scene in the movie, the bit after the grand finale when the hero (me) is about to stride into the sunset, credits rolling. That’s right, we’re starting at the end. Why? COS I WORK IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS.”
Originally based at Kong Studios in West London, the group of musical misfits – Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D – have relocated to Silverlake, California as they recruit new members to join ‘The Last Cult’, in search of the one truth to fix the world.

Cracker Island features virtuosic bassist, mercurial talent and twice-Grammy winner Thundercat, with production courtesy of eight-time Grammy Award-winning producer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter extraordinaire Greg Kurstin, Gorillaz and Remi Kabaka Jr.

The Gorillaz World Tour 2022 which started in South America earlier in the year has seen the band play to ecstatic crowds at Primavera and across Europe, and on to Australia for the Gorillaz’ first visit in 12 years, before one-off shows next month in London at All Points East on 19th August and Dublin’s 3Arena on 17th August ahead of a hugely anticipated U.S. run of dates in September and October.
