In a delirium of police lights and hallucinations, the BRIT and Grammy-winning virtual band Gorillaz ring in a new dawn, teaming up with Nexus Studios to create the epic psychedelic video for their summer banger ‘Cracker Island ft. Thundercat’. Directed by artist and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett and the Emmy nominated Nexus Studios director, Fx Goby, Cracker Island takes viewers on a late night journey into the City of Angels. Originally based at Kong Studios in West London, the group of musical misfits – Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D – have relocated to Silverlake, California as they recruit new members to join ‘The Last Cult’, in search of the one truth to fix the world.

Cracker Island features virtuosic bassist, mercurial talent and twice-Grammy winner Thundercat, with production courtesy of eight-time Grammy Award-winning producer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter extraordinaire Greg Kurstin, Gorillaz and Remi Kabaka Jr.

The Gorillaz World Tour 2022 which started in South America earlier in the year has seen the band play to ecstatic crowds at Primavera and across Europe, and on to Australia for the Gorillaz’ first visit in 12 years, before one-off shows next month in London at All Points East on 19th August and Dublin’s 3Arena on 17th August ahead of a hugely anticipated U.S. run of dates in September and October.

Heather Small has released ‘Excited’, the follow-up to the Radio 2 B-list single ‘Love Me or Not’. The two singles are from ‘Colour My Life’ – her first album in over a decade.

Heather, has teamed up with award-winning producer Rupert Christie and the London Metropolitan Orchestra to reimagine all of her Top 10 hits from both her career with M People as well as singles from her illustrious solo career.

There is also new music, in the form of the beautiful rendition of Paul Weller’s ‘You Do Something To Me’ to her new single ‘Love Me or Not’ and collaboration with Alfie Boe on the track ‘Don’t Look Any Further’.

The new album will be released by Warner Music UK on the 5th of August, and features orchestral versions of all of the UK Top 10 hits; Moving on Up, How Can I Love You More, Search For The Hero, One Night in Heaven, Don’t Look Any Further as well as the title track Colour My Life.

Heather Small, one of the most distinctive British female vocalists of all time began her pop career as a teenager in Hot House, before becoming the voice of M People, one of the world’s biggest dance acts which went on to sell tens of millions of albums worldwide, winning numerous Brits and a Mercury along the way. She launched her solo career at the turn of the millennium with Proud, which has gone on to be a timeless classic for all ages, featuring in theme songs for The Oprah Winfrey Show, Queer As Folk as well as performing at London’s 2012 Olympics.

Heather has just completed a sell-out tour across the UK and will continue to treat fans to performances throughout the summer. Not only will she be gracing the stage at Bestival, Splendour, The Isle of Wight Festival, Unlocked and many more but was also chosen as a special guest to perform as part of The National Lottery’s Big Jubilee Street Party at Manchester’s AO Arena last month but also BBC Radio 2 Live on the 18th September. When the first series came out, friends kept asking us if we’d seen ‘Stranger Things’, so we checked it out and really loved it. We’ve watched every series since then, as a family. When they approached us to use Running Up That Hill, you could tell that a lot of care had gone into how it was used in the context of the story and I really liked the fact that the song was a positive totem for the character, Max. I’m really impressed by this latest series. It’s an epic piece of work – the shows are extremely well put together with great characters and fantastic SFX. It’s very touching that the song has been so warmly received, especially as it’s being driven by the young fans who love the shows. I’m really happy that the Duffer Brothers are getting such positive feedback for their latest creation. They deserve it.

Madonna made history once again when she topped the U.S. Dance Club chart for the 50th time, making her the first and only recording artist to have 50 #1 hits on any single Billboard chart.

To celebrate this historic milestone, Madonna curated two new collections: FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE: 50 NUMBER ONES, a new 50-track collection that includes her favorite remixes of those chart-topping dance hits that have filled clubs worldwide for four decades, and an abridged 16-track version, simply titled FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE.

These new collections will mark the first album releases to be part of the newly announced partnership between Madonna and Warner Music Group, which will feature an extensive series of catalogue releases across her ground-breaking career.

50 NUMBER ONES spans her entire dance club chart reign with dozens of remixes by the world’s top producers. In addition to fan favorites, the collection also includes a selection of rare remix recordings, with more than 20 being officially released for the first time or making their commercial/digital debut. The collection will be available digitally on August 19, along with a 3-CD version. A limited edition, 6-LP version on red and black vinyl will also be available, exclusively at Madonna’s official store and Rhino.com. Pre-order now.

Boasting more than 220 minutes of remixes, FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE: 50 NUMBER ONES flows in mostly chronological order, showcasing the many musical reinventions that made Madonna an international icon, from 1983’s “Holiday” to 2019’s “I Don’t Search I Find,” with remixes by some of the biggest and most influential DJs of all time including Shep Pettibone, William Orbit, Honey Dijon, and Avicii.

On several songs, Madonna is joined by other incredible artists, including Britney Spears (“Me Against The Music”); Justin Timberlake and Timbaland (“4 Minutes”); and Nicki Minaj (“Bitch I’m Madonna.”) Each remix was newly remastered for the collection by Mike Dean, who produced Madonna’s two most-recent studio albums, Rebel Heart (2015) and Madame X (2019).

Both of these new collections also highlight You Can Dance, Madonna’s first ever remix collection. Celebrating 35 years this year, You Can Dance has sold more than five million copies worldwide and is still the second best-selling remix album of all time. The collection also pays homage to “Everybody,” Madonna’s first single, celebrating its 40th Anniversary on October 6. Madonna redesigned the album’s chronology by picking three edits from You Can Dance, including “Into The Groove”, “Everybody” and “Physical Attraction,” which reflects the underground club vibes that inspired her first recordings as a Sire artist.

Along with those rarities, these albums also introduce versions that are seeing their first ever official release, including the “Alternate Single Remix” of “Keep It Together,” the “Offer Nissim Promo Mix” of “Living For Love,” and more.

In advance of the debut of FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE in June, one of the 50 chart toppers – “Causing A Commotion” – was spotlighted early as an exclusive release for this year’s Record Store Day on April 23. Three remixes of the track appeared on the limited edition, five-track, red vinyl 12” EP Who’s That Girl Super Club Mix.

Expect more surprises to be revealed later this year around the celebration of Madonna’s 40 years in music.

Previous singles ‘Circles’, ‘Greatest Hits’ (which spent weeks in the Top 5 at radio in Ireland & Top 5 in Switzerland) and his single ‘Sober’ became staples at BBC Radio 2, with all three releases affixing themselves to the A, B & C playlists. The title track was written and produced by Gavin and Kodaline guitarist Mark Prendergast, the deeply quaint new number “The Sweetest Part” possesses a lullaby-like quality, as it rhythmically bobs along with James’ vocals swelling and ebbing throughout the track.

Following his UK tour with James Blunt, which started February 3^rd 2022, Gavin James will also embark on his Irish headline tour later this year, album in hand. He is no stranger to the live circuit, having played shows with Niall Horan, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, as well as his own sold-out world tour which started in 2019 and ended with a sold-out 3Arena Dublin show, one of the last shows in Ireland before lockdown. LIAM GALLAGHER SHARES THE NEW SINGLE ‘BETTER DAYS’

What can we expect from Liam Gallagher’s eagerly anticipated new album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’? A set full of classically instant Liam bangers topped by that iconic snarling vocal and his effortless rock star attitude. But this time there’s a twist as Liam infuses his sound with an eclectic array of new influences. It’s an approach that has made his recent tracks, the Top 20 hit ‘Everything’s Electric’ and the album’s title track, instant fan favourites.

Liam today shares his new single ‘Better Days’ which takes that experimental touch to a new level. It’s a shot of sunshine dopamine in audio form, as thunderous, ‘90s-style big beats add jet-fuelled propulsion to a classic crowd-pleasing anthem. Celebrating a summer in which we can all be reunited, it’s a summer song perfectly suited to receiving a huge audience reaction when Liam hits the road this summer.

Liam says, “‘Better Days’ is the sound of the summer.”

Liam also captures that spirit with the song’s official video. Joined by his band, he takes to the roof of the Manchester landmark, the historic Midland Hotel, for a full-throttle performance as crowds gather around to watch from nearby offices and the street. Given another cinematic touch as the sky turns psychedelic, it’s a video that nods to The Beatles’ legendary Apple Corps rooftop show. It was directed by the multiple Grammy nominee Paul Dugdale, whose credits include numerous major artists as varied as The Rolling Stones, Adele, Taylor Swift and Coldplay.

Reflecting the song’s positive spirit, Liam will donate all UK proceeds from the song to War Child for the rest of this year. The charity aims to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict, and campaigns on the root causes of conflict to help create a safer future for children in war zones across the world.

‘Better Days’ was written by Liam with his regular collaborators, the Grammy-winning Andrew Wyatt and Michael Tighe. Andrew Wyatt produced the song with Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sir Paul McCartney). It also features guitar courtesy of Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

‘Better Days’, ‘Everything’s Electric’ and the title track will all feature on the ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’ album, which is perfectly positioned to become Liam’s fourth UK #1 solo album when it is released on May 27th.

That same day will also see Liam release the ‘Down By The River Thames’ live album. Originally streamed in December 2020, the show became one of the most memorable performances of the lockdown era. Liam followed the precedent set by the Sex Pistols and The Clash, and decided to hit the River Thames, armed with a boatload of attitude, a phenomenal live band (including Bonehead) and an arsenal of classic songs.

Mullingar Power rock-pop four piece, The Blizzards are delighted to announce their fourth studio album ‘Sometimes We See More In The Dark’ out May 13^th

The band used their time in lockdown to explore their music and work on really defining their sound. Honing their melodic, dynamic hooks and crafting their pop guitar-driven song-writing. A true reflection of their musical identity in 2022.

The new album features the singles ‘Friction Burns’, Trigger Me’ and ‘Play God’ and showcases their strongest sound and writing since the bands formation. The previously three released singles are accompanied by equally stunning videos, the bands ethos to work with local Mullingar creative outlets and locations shines through their videos and production.

The initial plan was to release an EP of music, but the bands creativity levels were at an all-time high. A wealth of material developed from time spent in the studio by returning to their roots of just plugging in and playing.

The album making process represented many things for the members of the band but a common thread for all was creative freedom with no restraints..

Frontman Bressie says ‘it was about going back to the rawness of being in a garage band. The idea of making your instruments work for the song rather than the song work for the instrument. Lyrically it felt like the album wrote itself… Like they were there already. That’s always a special feeling because you know it’s coming from an authentic place’

Bassist, Louize Carroll first time making a full length album and being part of the process from start to finish ‘It’s the first time I’ve been part of an album from start to finish as a bass player and..in many ways I feel more belonging and meaning together as a band with this new body of work. I’m so proud of what the band has achieved.’

Lead Guitarist Justin appreciated having a creative outlet during the global pandemic ‘For me it was being given an opportunity to write and record music during the pandemic. It gave us a chance not only to rediscover ourselves musically but also hone our dynamic as a four piece band and I’m looking forward to performing these songs live and likewise for drummer Dec, having a creative outlet during life’s chaos and creating music that represents the bands best material ‘To be in a position at this stage in our lives, where life is hectic and sometimes overwhelming, to be able to find time to create a special batch of songs has been very rewarding. Working creatively where the priority in the feel and vibe of each song has been dictated by us and not the industry feels very empowering after 15 years mostly spent trying to please people’

Niall Breslin aka (Bressie) (Guitar / Lead Vocals), Louize Carroll (Bass), Justin Ryan (Lead Guitar) and Dec Murphy (Drums) are stronger, more passionate and energised than ever and are ready to share it with the world. The previously released tracks are just an introduction to the album, recorded in Camden Recording Studios. The Album was produced and mixed by Aidan Cunningham and Bressie and engineered by Eloise Molle.
