BAND APPEAR AS CHIMPS IN GROUNDBREAKING ANIMATED CLIP

COLDPLAY

Coldplay have today revealed the exuberant, chimp-led music video for Adventure Of A Lifetime, the first single to be taken from their upcoming A Head Full Of Dreams album.
The video is available exclusively on the band’s Facebook page at facebook.com/coldplay

Directed by Mat Whitecross, the animated video came about after Coldplay’s Chris Martin bumped into actor and motion capture expert Andy Serkis (Lord Of The Rings, King Kong) on a flight, and the two hatched a plan to collaborate. The video, which took six months to make, began with a studio shoot with the band in full motion performance capture rigs. Animators Mathematic then collaborated with motion capture experts Imaginarium to transform the four musicians into 3D chimpanzees.

A Head Full Of Dreams (out December 4) is the vibrant follow-up to 2014’s Ghost Stories, Coldplay’s sixth consecutive worldwide chart topper. Anyone pre-ordering the album from iTunes ahead of its release will receive instant downloads of both Adventure Of A Lifetime and another new song, Everglow (which was premiered by Zane Lowe on Beats One last night).

Tickets for Coldplay’s 2016 European stadium dates go on sale to the public today via Ticketmaster. The band’s Latin American shows then go on sale next week.

Coldplay – A Head Full of Dreams

COLDPLAY BANNER

NEW ALBUM A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS OUT DECEMBER 4
FIRST SINGLE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD/STREAMING NOW!!

81aKDNeeEEL._SL1500_

Coldplay have today announced the global release of their seventh album, ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’, on Friday, December 4 via Parlophone Records. It is preceded by the single, ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime’, which is available to download and stream now.

The album, recorded in Malibu, LA and London, was produced by Norwegian duo Stargate together with the band’s long-time collaborator Rik Simpson. It features more guests than any previous Coldplay record, with Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton among those appearing across its 11 tracks (12 if you count the buried treasure of the hidden track X Marks The Spot).

‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ is the widescreen follow-up to 2014’s fragile and lovelorn Ghost Stories, Coldplay’s sixth consecutive worldwide chart topper, award winner and multi-million seller. The band chose not to tour Ghost Stories and headed straight back into the studio to record ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’.

Revitalised, they’ve made an album that’s bursting with energy, colour and big, life-affirming moments such as the deliciously ebullient first single ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime’ and the rocket-powered Hymn For The Weekend.

Coldplay have never enjoyed making a record more than this one. Nor have they been happier with the results.

And, this time, they plan to take it around the world.

Jess Glynne new single and video ‘Take Me Home’.

JESS GLYNNE
Announces new single and video
‘Take Me Home’

JG

Taken from her #1 album ‘I CRY WHEN I LAUGH’ out now!
Sold-out show The Olympia Theatre, Dublin on Thursday March 31st

Jess Glynne’s astonishing year is set to continue with the release of ‘Take Me Home’.
Today, Jess Glynne’s Take Me Home has been named as this year’s official single for BBC Children in Need
Sales of the track will raise cash for the charity which helps young people and disadvantaged children in the UK.
Already familiar as an album showstopper, ‘Take Me Home’ is a soaring ballad that gives insight to Jess at her most raw, heartfelt and exposed. This in mirrored in the accompanying video, echoing the likes of Sinead O’Conner or Alanis Morissette in its unflinching and unmediated directness that embraces both empowerment as much as vulnerability. It similarly corresponds with the title of the album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ – alluding to Jess’ real life propensity to tear up in moments of joy as much as sadness – and the implicit emotional duality of her music.
Of the track & video Jess commented: “This is a song about the need to have someone who cares when you are at your most vulnerable. It’s a very emotional song for me and I have to admit it brings me to tears when I sing it live or when I made the video with Declan (Whitebloom). I hope it makes people realise that they should reach out to others at a time of need.”
The list of Jess’ achievements this year is inexhaustible – her debut album ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ is the biggest selling debut of the year having gone platinum in the UK in only 10 weeks, she has sold 5m singles in the UK and 10m worldwide and has combined You Tube views of over a billion. She has also just performed at the prestigious EMA’s and has her first major sold-out headline show Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Thursday March 31st , 2016.

Fleetwood Mac builds on its formidable legacy as one of rock’s most legendary acts as they re-visit their most ambitious album with deluxe and expanded editions of TUSK. Originally released in 1979, the Grammy® Award-nominated, double-album sold more than four million copies worldwide, climbed to #4 on the US album charts, and introduced fans to hits like “Sara,” “Think About Me,” and the title track.

The announcement comes as the band – Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks – continues it’s acclaimed, sold out “On With The Show” world tour. Concerts are scheduled this month in Australia and New Zealand with tickets on sale now.

To follow the historic, global success of 1977’s Grammy-Award winning Rumours, Fleetwood Mac chose to take a more experimental approach on Tusk. The most famous example has to be the unexpected and beloved inclusion of the University of Southern California’s marching band on the title track.

TUSK will be available December 4 from Warner Bros. Records as a Deluxe Edition (5-CD/2-LP/1-DVD), an Expanded Edition (3-CD), and a single disc of the newly remastered original album. Digital versions will also be available.

TUSK (DELUXE EDITION) delves deep into the vaults with five CDs including the remastered original album, an alternate version of the complete album made up of session outtakes, most of which have never been released, as well as an additional selection of singles, demos and remixes, including an outtake of “Think About Me,” an early version of “That’s Enough For Me” called “Out On The Road,” plus several incarnations of “I Know I’m Not Wrong.”

Also included are two discs loaded with 22 unreleased performances from the band’s 1979 Tusk tour with selections from concerts in London, Tucson, and St. Louis. It includes live versions of album tracks like “Sara, “Over And Over” and “Save Me A Place,” as well as favorites like “Landslide,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Rhiannon,” “Don’t Stop” and “Go Your Own Way.”

Rounding out the Deluxe Edition is a 5.1 surround mix of Tusk on DVD-Audio and vinyl of the original album on 2-LPs. The collection comes housed in an elegant box reminiscent of the acclaimed Rumours Deluxe Edition with a booklet that has extended liner notes that feature new interviews with all the band members.

Get ‘Darkest Ocean’ here:
Spotify: http://po.st/sDarkestOcean
Apple Music: http://po.st/amDarkestOcean
iTunes: http://po.st/iDarkestOcean

“In the same radio-friendly alternative-pop bracket as Haim, and rings with the same kind of ambition” – NME

“A pop cracker, all spiky guitars, shimmering synths and kiss-off lyrics.” – The Sunday Times Culture

“A thrilling, driving tune that recalls nothing less than early Bloc Party.” – XFM, Record of the Week

“All pounding, driving rhythms, flashes of synths and Editors-style post-punk guitars.” – Shortlist

After the positive reception that greeted their introductory singles ‘Thank You’ and ‘Too Young To Live’, Irish duo ALL TVVINS have spent recent weeks building towards the release of their current single ‘Darkest Ocean’ which has already passed 700,000 plays between Spotify, YouTube and SoundCloud. ALL TVVINS recently hit the road for a tour as guests to Metric, and ‘Darkest Ocean’ was featured on the huge-selling FIFA 16 game.

ALL TVVINS have now launched the official video for ‘Darkest Ocean’ which continues their creative relationship with director Brandan Canty (Hozier’s ‘Take Me To Church’). It depicts the band’s dynamic performance of the track with a series of stunning aerial shots as the camera sweeps the length of a dramatic stretch of coastline.

The launch of the video follows the news of a new tour that includes a London show at The Victoria, Dalston as well as a set at the Mutations Festival. The dates – scheduled below – added to the recent confirmation of their biggest Dublin show to date at the Academy:

November

20th – Dublin, Academy

21st – Nottingham, Bodega

23rd – Manchester, Ruby Lounge

25th – Glasgow, King Tuts

28th – Brighton, Mutations Festival

30th – London, The Victoria Dalston

Tickets for the Ireland and UK dates are on sale now.

ALL TVVINS consists of two multi-instrumentalists in the shape of Conor Adams (primarily vocals and bass) and Lar Kaye (guitars), who first met on the Dublin underground scene and started working together in the summer of 2013.

Their collision of disparate influences results in a sound akin to a melting point of TV On The Radio’s art-pop twists with the leftfield psychedelic excursions of Animal Collective. Even just a snapshot of their songbook demonstrates an admirable disregard for conventional genre boundaries.

Having previously supported Arcade Fire, Pixies and Jungle, and earned the respect of new wave pioneers Blondie following a set at Electric Picnic, ALL TVVINS’ summer festival touring has already included Pukkelpop, Dot To Dot and Field Day, as well as the VICE house party.

Set for release on November 13th, ‘x’ Wembley Edition is the repackaged album from Ed Sheeran. This album repack product comes just in time for the festive season with both a CD and DVD portion. The CD portion not only features all the hits taken from Ed’s multi award-winning, second studio album ‘x’, but also boasts an amazing five new tracks, including ‘Lay It All On Me’, which sees Ed lend his vocals over Rudimental’ s timelessly produced number. ‘English Rose’, ‘Touch and Go’, ‘New York’ and ‘Make It Rain’, the additional new tracks on this album, were once again (like ‘x’) recorded across the globe from LA, to New York and back to London, with Ed sticking with the formula that made his second studio album the biggest-selling LP of 2014. He calls on assistance from producer Rick Rubin (Eminem, Jay-Z, & Red Hot Chilli Peppers) on ‘Touch and Go’ and links up with Emile Haynie (Bruno Mars, Eminem, Lana Del Ray) on ‘New York’.

The DVD portion titled ‘Jumpers For Goalposts Live at Wembley Stadium’ features the breathtaking footage taken this summer as Ed made history, becoming the first solo artist to sell-out three consecutive nights at Wembley Stadium, playing to over 240,000 people! It features electrifying performances of all of the hits: ‘The A Team’, ‘Don’t’, ‘Sing’, ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and we even get a glimpse of Sir Elton John as the two undertake a one-off duet. Aside from the live performances, Jumpers For Goalposts Live at Wembley Stadium gives viewers an insight into life on the road with Ed, giving an honest and intimate window into the journey he’s taken thus far.

Nonesuch Releases ‘Junun’ on November 13

Nonesuch Releases Shye Ben Tzur, Jonny Greenwood and the Rajasthan Express’ ‘Junun’ on November 13

Recording process in India documented for Junun film, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson

Nonesuch Records releases Junun—an album from composer/musician Shye Ben Tzur, guitarist Jonny Greenwood, and the Rajasthan Express, a group of Indian qawwali musicians—on November 13, 2015. Recorded earlier this year in a makeshift studio inside the 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, India, the album was made with Radiohead’s producer Nigel Godrich, who worked with the ensemble to create this two LP/CD album. The album features Ben Tzur’s compositions, which combine ecstatic, devotional Sufi qawwal musical traditions and his native Hebrew. Pre-orders of Junun (an alternate spelling of “junoon,” which means “mania,” or “the madness of love.”) are available now from iTunes and from nonesuch.com with an instant download of the album track “Roked;” a film clip featuring “Roked” premiered this morning at pitchfork.com and can be viewed here.

The filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, a friend and frequent collaborator of Greenwood, came along to document the recording sessions as well as daily life and the close camaraderie of artistic collaboration. Anderson’s resulting impressionistic film, also entitled Junun, debuted at the New York Film Festival on October 8 and began streaming today exclusively on MUBI, where it will stream for 30 days. Junun also will be shown at the Rome Film Festival in mid-October.

Greenwood made a guest appearance last year during Ben Tzur’s London concert, where they previewed some of the music of Junun, and this summer, the two were joined by the qawwali party for two performances at the Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival. Further concerts are being planned for the future, as are additional screenings of Anderson’s film.

Shye Ben Tzur is an Israeli composer/producer/poet and performer who lives in India and Israel. He composes qawwalis, instrumental and devotional music, in Hebrew, Urdu, and Hindi. A concert by Zakir Hussain and Hariprasad Chaurasia that Ben Tzur attended as a young man was life-changing. “It touched my heart so deeply,” he says. “It was at the time the deepest musical experience I had gone through. It moved me so that I could do nothing but go find out what it is. I feel I’m still in that spot. I don’t think I have achieved it. Indian music is so vast and so deep and the more I learn different things about it, I realize how ignorant I was. It just doesn’t stop.”

“When I was in the Negev desert in southern Israel a couple of years ago, I heard a band playing a song using an Arabic violin called a rehab,” Greenwood told London’s Evening Standard. “It was a strange mix of Arabic and traditional Indian music, one that I’d never come across before,” He continued, “The best song, I found out, was written by Shye Ben Tzur, an Israeli musician who had been living in India until this year. I set out to discover more about him … I’m always a little wary of rock bands half-heartedly dabbling in world music—itself a slightly greasy term—but there are exceptions. Damon Albarn is one: his work with musicians in Mali is something he’s clearly fully committed to. And I think Shye Ben Tzur is another.”

Widely known as the guitarist for Radiohead, Jonny Greenwood also is a highly respected composer. In addition to his soundtracks to Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice, There Will Be Blood, and The Master, Nonesuch also released his score for Norwegian Wood and his collaboration with Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki.
