COLDPLAY UNVEIL ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME VIDEO ON FACEBOOK

COLDPLAY UNVEIL ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME VIDEO ON FACEBOOK
BAND APPEAR AS CHIMPS IN GROUNDBREAKING ANIMATED CLIP

COLDPLAY

Coldplay have today revealed the exuberant, chimp-led music video for Adventure Of A Lifetime, the first single to be taken from their upcoming A Head Full Of Dreams album.
The video is available exclusively on the band’s Facebook page at facebook.com/coldplay

Directed by Mat Whitecross, the animated video came about after Coldplay’s Chris Martin bumped into actor and motion capture expert Andy Serkis (Lord Of The Rings, King Kong) on a flight, and the two hatched a plan to collaborate. The video, which took six months to make, began with a studio shoot with the band in full motion performance capture rigs. Animators Mathematic then collaborated with motion capture experts Imaginarium to transform the four musicians into 3D chimpanzees.

A Head Full Of Dreams (out December 4) is the vibrant follow-up to 2014’s Ghost Stories, Coldplay’s sixth consecutive worldwide chart topper. Anyone pre-ordering the album from iTunes ahead of its release will receive instant downloads of both Adventure Of A Lifetime and another new song, Everglow (which was premiered by Zane Lowe on Beats One last night).

Tickets for Coldplay’s 2016 European stadium dates go on sale to the public today via Ticketmaster. The band’s Latin American shows then go on sale next week.

Coldplay – A Head Full of Dreams

COLDPLAY BANNER

NEW ALBUM A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS OUT DECEMBER 4
FIRST SINGLE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD/STREAMING NOW!!

81aKDNeeEEL._SL1500_

Coldplay have today announced the global release of their seventh album, ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’, on Friday, December 4 via Parlophone Records. It is preceded by the single, ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime’, which is available to download and stream now.

The album, recorded in Malibu, LA and London, was produced by Norwegian duo Stargate together with the band’s long-time collaborator Rik Simpson. It features more guests than any previous Coldplay record, with Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton among those appearing across its 11 tracks (12 if you count the buried treasure of the hidden track X Marks The Spot).

‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ is the widescreen follow-up to 2014’s fragile and lovelorn Ghost Stories, Coldplay’s sixth consecutive worldwide chart topper, award winner and multi-million seller. The band chose not to tour Ghost Stories and headed straight back into the studio to record ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’.

Revitalised, they’ve made an album that’s bursting with energy, colour and big, life-affirming moments such as the deliciously ebullient first single ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime’ and the rocket-powered Hymn For The Weekend.

Coldplay have never enjoyed making a record more than this one. Nor have they been happier with the results.

And, this time, they plan to take it around the world.

Jess Glynne new single and video ‘Take Me Home’.

JESS GLYNNE
Announces new single and video
‘Take Me Home’

JG

Taken from her #1 album ‘I CRY WHEN I LAUGH’ out now!
Sold-out show The Olympia Theatre, Dublin on Thursday March 31st

Jess Glynne’s astonishing year is set to continue with the release of ‘Take Me Home’.
Today, Jess Glynne’s Take Me Home has been named as this year’s official single for BBC Children in Need
Sales of the track will raise cash for the charity which helps young people and disadvantaged children in the UK.
Already familiar as an album showstopper, ‘Take Me Home’ is a soaring ballad that gives insight to Jess at her most raw, heartfelt and exposed. This in mirrored in the accompanying video, echoing the likes of Sinead O’Conner or Alanis Morissette in its unflinching and unmediated directness that embraces both empowerment as much as vulnerability. It similarly corresponds with the title of the album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ – alluding to Jess’ real life propensity to tear up in moments of joy as much as sadness – and the implicit emotional duality of her music.
Of the track & video Jess commented: “This is a song about the need to have someone who cares when you are at your most vulnerable. It’s a very emotional song for me and I have to admit it brings me to tears when I sing it live or when I made the video with Declan (Whitebloom). I hope it makes people realise that they should reach out to others at a time of need.”
The list of Jess’ achievements this year is inexhaustible – her debut album ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ is the biggest selling debut of the year having gone platinum in the UK in only 10 weeks, she has sold 5m singles in the UK and 10m worldwide and has combined You Tube views of over a billion. She has also just performed at the prestigious EMA’s and has her first major sold-out headline show Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Thursday March 31st , 2016.

Fleetwood Mac builds on its formidable legacy as one of rock’s most legendary acts as they re-visit their most ambitious album with deluxe and expanded editions of TUSK. Originally released in 1979, the Grammy® Award-nominated, double-album sold more than four million copies worldwide, climbed to #4 on the US album charts, and introduced fans to hits like “Sara,” “Think About Me,” and the title track.

The announcement comes as the band – Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks – continues it’s acclaimed, sold out “On With The Show” world tour. Concerts are scheduled this month in Australia and New Zealand with tickets on sale now.

To follow the historic, global success of 1977’s Grammy-Award winning Rumours, Fleetwood Mac chose to take a more experimental approach on Tusk. The most famous example has to be the unexpected and beloved inclusion of the University of Southern California’s marching band on the title track.

TUSK will be available December 4 from Warner Bros. Records as a Deluxe Edition (5-CD/2-LP/1-DVD), an Expanded Edition (3-CD), and a single disc of the newly remastered original album. Digital versions will also be available.

TUSK (DELUXE EDITION) delves deep into the vaults with five CDs including the remastered original album, an alternate version of the complete album made up of session outtakes, most of which have never been released, as well as an additional selection of singles, demos and remixes, including an outtake of “Think About Me,” an early version of “That’s Enough For Me” called “Out On The Road,” plus several incarnations of “I Know I’m Not Wrong.”

Also included are two discs loaded with 22 unreleased performances from the band’s 1979 Tusk tour with selections from concerts in London, Tucson, and St. Louis. It includes live versions of album tracks like “Sara, “Over And Over” and “Save Me A Place,” as well as favorites like “Landslide,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Rhiannon,” “Don’t Stop” and “Go Your Own Way.”

Rounding out the Deluxe Edition is a 5.1 surround mix of Tusk on DVD-Audio and vinyl of the original album on 2-LPs. The collection comes housed in an elegant box reminiscent of the acclaimed Rumours Deluxe Edition with a booklet that has extended liner notes that feature new interviews with all the band members.
